Emergency Preparedness
Accredited Hospices of America staff has outlined procedures that we follow in the event that weather or other natural disasters occur that could hinder our organization's ability to operate in emergency situations. Our organization will make every effort to continue services during a disaster, crisis, or other emergency situation. Our first priority in an emergency is to be prepared to care for our patients first and foremost. In addition, we will secure all facilities and be prepared for an orderly evacuation process in case this actually becomes necessary.
Our administrative personnel are on call at all times to take care of any emergency type situation. Our emergency plans are directed by our leadership team. Accredited Hospices of America's emergency plans are designed to prepare our staff and folunteers to effectively handle communications and to ensure that our services continue to our patients without interruption.
In the area that Accredited Hospices of America provides services, emergency situations could occur that includes severe weather conditions (storms, floods, hurricanes), environmental disasters, employee and/or patient accidents, etc.
